Colorado locations supported by the pilot
This article explains BorrowHive product behavior. It is not legal or tax advice.
Colorado has state-administered jurisdictions and self-collecting home-rule jurisdictions. BorrowHive's initial Colorado pilot can only include reviewed state-administered locations.
BorrowHive blocks known self-collecting home-rule cities until each city has a reviewed rule set. The blocked list includes Centennial, Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Aurora, Lakewood, Fort Collins, Littleton, and other self-collecting jurisdictions identified from Colorado DOR SUTS and DR 1002 source paths.
SUTS participation does not mean a city follows the same rules as Colorado state-administered sales tax. For self-collecting home-rule cities, BorrowHive needs city-specific answers about rental taxability, whether any 36-month acquisition-tax-paid exemption applies, what documentation is enough, what amounts are taxable, and where to file.
Checkout uses the possession or delivery location, not only the owner address, renter billing address, or BorrowHive headquarters address.
