BorrowHive collects sales tax on paid rentals when required. A free booking has no rental sales tax because the rental amount is $0.

Before you confirm a paid request, we show the listing price, any applicable sales tax, deposit terms, and promotions. Review the total each time because it can vary by request and location.
When sales tax is included at checkout, do not add a separate sales-tax payment or change request details to affect the tax calculation.
If you believe a paid request should be tax-exempt, contact support before confirming it. Do not email tax IDs or exemption documents; support will tell you how to provide them safely.
Owners remain responsible for income tax and recordkeeping obligations that BorrowHive does not handle.
