Asset labels, location checks, and identity verification on BorrowHive
This article explains BorrowHive product behavior. It is not legal or tax advice, and it is not a safety guarantee.
BorrowHive uses different trust signals for different risks. They are shown separately because none of them replaces the others.
Verified Person
Verified-person status means a member completed BorrowHive's identity verification flow through Stripe Identity or an approved manual path. The launch flow uses a government ID plus selfie/liveness check.
Verified-person status is not a background check, not a credit check, not an address guarantee, not a guarantee of safe behavior, and not a BorrowHive endorsement.
Asset Labels And Location Checks
Asset-label mailers, QR scans, and location checks support inventory and location confidence. They can help show that a listed tool or kit is tied to physical labels, expected handling, and an approximate area. They do not prove who the member is.
Public Display
BorrowHive may show public trust signals such as Verified person, Address checked, or Verified inventory only when the underlying signal is current and safe to display. BorrowHive does not publicly show failed or pending identity status, legal names, document types, exact addresses, document images, selfies, or provider details.
Do not send ID photos, selfies, or full document numbers through normal support forms to prove asset-label or location status. If identity verification is required, use the Stripe Identity verification flow from BorrowHive.
