Understanding BorrowHive trust signals
BorrowHive trust signals tell you which checks have been completed. Each signal covers only the check named; no badge guarantees a member, location, or tool.
Verified person
A Verified person badge means the member completed BorrowHive's identity verification flow using a government ID and selfie check.
Verified-person status is not a background check, a credit check, an address guarantee, a guarantee of safe behavior, or a BorrowHive endorsement.
Location and item signals
A location or item signal means we reviewed information about that location or item. It does not prove a member's identity, ownership, exact address, tool condition, or safe operation.
What is public
Public profiles and listings may show a current trust badge or general pickup area. We do not publicly show identity documents, selfies, full document numbers, exact pickup addresses, or private review notes.
Do not send ID photos, selfies, full document numbers, or proof of address through support forms, email, chat, or messages. Use the verification process in BorrowHive.
