How BorrowHive handles photos and file uploads

Different parts of BorrowHive use uploads for different purposes. Before choosing a file, check where it will be sent and who can see it.

Use the upload option for the task you're completing. A file sent through messages or feedback is not a substitute for the identity verification or payment process.

Do not upload highly sensitive identity or financial material

Do not send government-ID photos, selfies, full document numbers, identity-verification screenshots, passwords, one-time security codes, or full card or bank details through messages, feedback, listing uploads, or rental notes.

Upload identity-verification information only through the verification process, and enter payment or payout details only in the payment provider's form. If support needs other information, we'll tell you where to provide it.

Choose the minimum useful evidence

If you're reporting a condition or rental issue, photograph the tool and the relevant damage or handoff details. Avoid including faces, unrelated documents, house numbers, payment cards, computer screens, or other private information that is not needed to explain the issue.

Photos and other uploads do not prove that a tool is safe, inspected, certified, or accurately described. They also do not verify a person's identity or address, and they are not a background check, credit check, endorsement, or guarantee of safe behavior.

Contact support@borrowhive.com before uploading a file if you are unsure who will be able to review it.
